The Idea Is Giving

Jacqui Cohen, President & C.E.O. of Army & Navy Department Stores, started Face The World Foundation  in 1991 in efforts to give something back to the city she called home.

“My daughter, Kasondra, and I feel a tremendous responsibility to give back to our community, and we are fortunate to have this opportunity… I am incredibly grateful to everyone who attends and gives so generously. It enables the foundation to make a real difference in the community and in the lives of so many.”

- JC

Since its launch, the event has raised millions of dollars for hundreds of local organizations. This year’s gala raised over 1 million dollars in donations, which will be distributed to a variety of charitable organizations in the Lower Mainland.

The Cohen family is constantly amazed by the generosity of the people of Vancouver.  They feel very proud of the fact that many lives have been improved through the hard work of those associated with Face The World.
